and they'll never be lonely anymore

the wedding last weekend was a success. the bride (my step-sister) was happy/beautiful/giddily drunk by the end of the reception.

we went early saturday morning to buy centerpiece flowers from the farmer's market, and then arranged them... so the day was loooong. it was a lovely time though, and i enjoyed being a proud member of the dancing fools at the reception... i mean that's what wedding receptions are for right? dancing around like an idiot while others who wish they were also dancing like idiots watch. :) so. much. fun.

completed week 9 day 2 c25k today. it was hard. i need to prepare more properly food/water wise. i drink water all day long, but i've been going right after work to the y... i think i need to have a snack later in the afternoon to boost my energy for the work out. what do you guys eat and/or drink pre/during/post work outs? do you snack at all before? there's only one official day left, but i'm not to 5k distance yet... i won't claim to be a graduate til i do! i'll keep you posted on my progress.

  1. Congrats!

If you don't have energy there's a few things to try.

Nothing heavy. If you want food, fruit or juice is probably best. Otherwise side aches come.

    Otherwise caffeine :)

  2. Congrats on completing day 2 of week 9! Just did day 2 of week 1 :D

I have no idea on the pre/post workout foods, but it'll be interesting to read the advice.

  3. Wow! Week 9 - well done you!

I go after work too and make sure I have a health or cereal bar 1 or 2 hours before I workout and that seems to do the trick for me.

Glad you enjoyed the wedding and danced so much!

  4. I usually have a 3:30 pm snack of a granola bar and cottage cheese. Sometimes an apple. Or some oatmeal. Something small to boost up the energy to carry me through the workout until dinner time :)

    Glad you enjoyed dancing!! :)

  6. Super awesome, way to go! I am a new reader, visiting via The Fat Lazy Guy's Blog. I am on week 6 and loving it so far! I don't eat before I run because I go in the morning. Unless you eat at least 3-4 hours before you run, the food is not far enough along your digestive tract to fuel your run. Stay hydrated throughout the day and you'll be set, no need to chug a huge bottle of water before, unless you're running 10 miles or more.
